It holds contributors fully accountable for any AI-assisted output they submit, requiring them to understand, review, test, and where appropriate modify that output before it enters Debian. Critically, the two proposals that would have changed the social contract or code of conduct to actively restrict AI use both failed to beat "None of the Above," the voting system's formal mechanism for outright rejection.
